Bridal Shower – POSTPONED

Love is patient.  This virtue is being challenged now more than ever. I’m witnessing first-hand the havoc COVID-19 is having on couples in the midst of planning a wedding.   My dear sister and her fiancé are going through this very challenging time – postponing, rescheduling – things they could have never anticipated or prepared for.  It is a very difficult, disappointing, stressful time filled with so much uncertainty for so many couples when it’s supposed to be the exact opposite.

Today, my sister would’ve celebrated her bridal shower but sadly has had to postpone.  Being her Matron-of-Honour and a DIY event planner, I needed to find a way to make this day special.  Through collaboration with the other ladies in the bridal party we decided to put together a little package for her; a stunning floral arrangement, a beautiful custom balloon, some champagne and her favourite indulgence, macarons accompanied with a card.  I found it difficult to find a card that would suit the occasion so, I decided to design one.  I’ve since made this card and a variation available in my Etsy shop as a digital download.  I want to share this with you so that you can help brighten a bride-to-be’s day too!

Although COVID-19 is temporarily changing the way we celebrate, it can’t stop us from acknowledging these special occasions and moments.  We must continue to remain positive and supportive.  I’m certain my sister will have her dream wedding and it will be a huge celebration of love – better, stronger and more beautiful than ever.  Something we can take away from this pandemic is that we must not take our time together for granted.  We must celebrate harder, appreciate greater and cherish every moment, smile, kiss and hug.

Sending best wishes to all of the couples out there going through this very trying time.
